2861 The New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 1 is a qualification that can be achieved through the NZQA approved

SPEC Foundation programme.

The Foundation programme is designed to re-engage students with their learning and can help students achieve NCEA.

The program provides a flexible framework to develop core capabilities, and provide a successful pathway into further learning or employment.

Aim

Develop and carry out self management strategies in a range of different contexts to include maintaining health and well-being and

continuing learning.

Develop and demonstrate the skills needed to interact positively with others, in one-one situations and group situations.

Demonstrate self reflection on progress, to include new learning and achievement towards personal and career goals.

Use a range of communication skills relevant to the context, and showing development of those skills.
