Requirements for completion of each HEADWAY Module towards the New Zealand Certificate in Skills for
Living for supported learners, with an optional strand for Skills for Work.
The portfolio of evidence should be made up of authentic evidence. It is acknowledged that at this level students will require
learning support, however every opportunity should be presented to engage the student in all aspects of their learning.
Teachers and others working wit the students are required to ‘think outside the square’ to enable the student the best
possible opportunities to demonstrate what has been learned.
The process is as important as the end product, and often videos and conferencing can produce the best results to support
both the requirements for the programme and for the qualification.
